Do I Need Planning Permission?

Most cases it is no. Domestic panels are permitted development and do not require permission unless:

You are in a listed building

Your home is in a conservation area or area of outstanding natural beauty (solar panels are permitted in a conservation area as long as they are fitted on a wall or roof that faces a main highway
